Enrique Góngora (InfraDigrecords / Solid State)

En tan solo su primer año dentro de la escena electronica nacional e internacional, con su reciente aparicion dentro de el programa de radio de Kosmas Epsilon en Proton Radio con su EP Sai producido con Light y charteado por el mismo Kosmas con soporte de Dubfire, Chris Fortier y Kasey Taylor entre muchos otros... Llama la atencion de los listeners con su propuesta musical al incorporar en sus set's subgeneros del House, Techno y Electronica en sus mas nuevas vertientes, pero siempre con una homogeneidad, idea y direccion, que convierten al dance floor en un tema diferente cada noche.
Despues de tocar en la ultima version del Acapulco Music Festival, obtiene varias e importantes fechas dentro de los mejores night clubs de la ciudad de Mexico, tales como el Rioma, A.M. Local, La B, El Tianguis, Distrito, TQM y en diversas fiestas privadas y eventos dentro y fuera de la ciudad como en el Akbal Lounge (Jalapa), Foro 38 (Morelia), Metamorfo (Toluca), La Muerte Chiquita (Jalapa), Veracruz, Puebla, S.L.P, Cuernavaca, Queretaro, Leon y Vallarta.
Junto con Light es uno de los principales productores en su sello InfraDigrecords y firmado en otras disqueras nacionales como We Are Here Records, Montenegro Recordings, Afterborn Productions y mas recientemente en la legendaria disquera Bonzai Music (Belgica).
Dentro de la produccion musical sus ideas van mas alla de un simple 4/4 y estructuras convencionales a generos fuera del dance floor como post rock, ambient, indie y electronica.

Waiting For... Ep by Enrique Góngora.

Bit Records and Montenegro Recordings are two Mexican progressive house labels that have established themselves on the global prog digital scene in recent times. The latter bites back with this release from Enrique Gongora. 3 mixes of "Waiting For" are on show with remixes from Parlange and Zeque.

The original mix uses some "back in the day" keyboard sounds fused with some more modern elements. These dark analogue sounds are rarely used in productions these days, so it is refreshing to hear them utilised here.

The Parlange remix uses some of the key elements of the original, like the bassline for example, while adding in more energy and atmosphere. Not a bad second part to the package.

Rounding the release off is the Zeque remix, which is techy in flavour and reminds me of some of the productions on the Slam Radio 1 Essential Mix back in the mid 90s. Definitely a solid alternative take on the original.

This release from Montenegro Recordings isn't full of what you would call standard progressive gear. Tech, some prog elements and old skool house analogue basslines are all on show here. If you are looking for something different check this release out!
